When is the tax filing deadline?

The federal tax filing deadline is usually April 15 each year but we also do extend filing for an additional cost after deadline line . If it falls on a weekend or holiday, the deadline is extended to the next business day.

Common documents include W-2s, 1099s, receipts for deductions, prior-year tax return, Social Security numbers, and income/expense records if self-employed.

A tax deduction reduces your taxable income. A tax credit directly reduces the amount of tax you owe, often resulting in bigger savings.

It depends on your income, age, and filing status. You may still want to file to claim a refund or tax credits.

If you e-file and use direct deposit, most refunds are issued within 7-21 days. Paper filing takes longer.
